Anticipated Expenditures - keeping the doors open up at the church requires the stewardship of many. We are blessed to share this beautiful sanctuary with all, and ask that you make a contribution to the church to assist with its upkeep and keep it available for others in the future. Following are minimal guidelines for your consideration.
Building use gift $200 & Custodian $50
Pastor's suggested gift $200 & Organist/Pianist/Soloist (by your arrangements) are appropriate
at the rehearsal time.
There is no "building use" gift requested if you or your family are members of Cody United Methodist Church (this extends to children of members, but not two grandchildren).
YOUR CHURCH WEDDING
Cody United Methodist Church
and staff are pleased to be able to provide wedding services in a Christian spirit, in a warm and beautiful setting. We are happy
to extend the services and facilities of our church to you as you plan your wedding and prepare for marriage.
Music - we
preferred that you use the church organist/pianist for your wedding. However a different organist/pianist may be used upon consulting
the Pastor. You will want to choose and arrange your vocal music, if any.
All photography - arrangements must be discussed
with the Pastor in advance of the ceremony.
Facilities & Equipment
Candelabra - the church's candelabra are available
for your use. There are two floor standing style which can be adjusted in height and each contain seven candles. Additionally,
there are six standing I/O candelabra. The church will provide candles for the candelabra to insure dripless and compatible
candles in the holders. There is a two dollar per can do fee. If you will be having a unity candle or family remembrance
candles, these may be placed on the altar and need to be supplied by you.
Sanctuary Size - the sanctuary seeks approximately
250 people.
Nursery - There is a play room for young children. If they are to be in the room before, during or after the service it is your responsibility to provide an adult to care for them. Please make sure that the nursery is in order before you leave.
Wedding Receptions - the women of the church are happy to serve your reception should you choose to have it
in the church. After arrangements for the wedding have been made, the Pastor can direct you to the chairperson of the Reception
Committee to arange your reception.
1. A deposit of $50 is required at the time arrangements are made. In the case of a cancellation, the deposit will be returned.
2. All food and drink items are to be furnished by the family.
3. There is a charge of $2.50 per plate.
