ABOUT OUR PASTOR: Rev. Dr. Paul "Pete" Meese, Ordained Elder in The United Methodist Church, Rocky Mountain Conference Pastor, Cody United Methodist Church Biblical tradition
passes on stories of persons consecrating their lives to God in childhood,
but God's "The best part of my job is the sacramental part," says Pastor Pete. "I think the most important thing we do is worship God. I am ordained to Word and Sacrament, and I love doing both. Preaching, baptizing, and serving communion are constant sources of renewal for me. And the children, I love to teach the children."He was born in Fort Wayne Indiana, but migrated to Colorado in 1957 with the entire family. Pastor Pete was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church (ALC), but was again baptized and received into membership of the United Methodist Church by Profession of Faith in 1992. He served Cameron Methodist Church in Denver as Minister of music from 1992-95. After completion of seminary in 1995, he enrolled in Clinical Pastoral Education at Porter Hospital in Denver, and went on to complete a Chaplain Residency at St. Anthony's Hospital 1996-97. He was appointed to St. James UMC in Central City, CO in July of 1997. He has served Eagle Valley UMC since August 1st of 2002. EDUCATION AND WORK HISTORY:
